Wing eye liner is one of the trickiest things that you need to master in the world of makeup. I hope that these perfect and easy tips will make it a lot easier for you. You simply have to follow 10 simple tricks to achieve perfect winged eye liner every time. No fast, no tease and no stress.
1. Card Trick
What you have to do is take any piece of clean card. You have to hold it against your eye at the eye akneus. Before your eye liner, use your card as your card line. Turn filling any gaps from gel eyeliner by “Sephora”. Once you move your card you have a perfect straight edge of wing. You can go back and fill the gaps if you have. Here is your perfect winged liner.
2. Tape Trick
Another way to apply wing eye eyeliner is to use tape. I preferred to use surgical tape. You can buy it from popular pharmacies. It comes up not so easily. It doesn’t pull your skin. Same as like a card trick, you can use surgical tape to get a perfect winged eye liner. Place it against your eye at the eye akneus . Before your eye liner, use your tape as your tape line. Turn filling any gaps from kajal eyeliner by “Mac”. Once you pull of the tape, you have a perfect straight edge of wing. You can go back and fill the gaps if any. Edge your wing liner again. Here is your perfect winged liner.
3. Ultimate tape
This is a bit tricky. This is the ultimate tape method. Apply the tape against your eye at the eye akneus. Before you go for eye liner, apply another tape on top to create a triangle at the corner of your eye. This is going to be your winged liner. You can take “Aimrij” cake eye liner. Fill in between the two pieces of tape. Remove the pieces of tape. Now you need to do is go back to the middle and the inner corner of your eye. Fill in any gaps and there’s a winged liner.
4. Dots method
This is a popular method which is called as join the dots. All you have to do is draw few dots on top of your lash line. Keep them as close to your lash line as possible. Make sure that you still see them. Go all over your dot to make your wing to be. Get your eye liner. You can use “Beautify by Amna” eye liner and fill in the dots with it smoothly. Fill in any gaps and there’s a winged liner.
5. Stencil
You can make our own stencil. I personally use “Sigma” cake eye liner cap. Place it against your eye lid. You can use gel eye liner by “Christine”. Trace around that cap curve until you get the curve of winged eye liner. Remove the cap now. You can do anything for your stencil. Just to make sure there must be a nice, gentle curve. Fill the eye top of winged liner and edge it up. Here’s your winged liner done.
6. Liner Pen
This is known as flat liner pen technique. All you have to do is to take flat Pen Eye Liner by “Riva UK”. Press it against your lash line. Line Pen tip liner flat against the lash line. Let the flat tip do all for you. Fill in any gaps and that’s you make it up. Here’s your winged liner done.
7. Shaped eye liner
You can apply eye liner at your eye akneus, in the middle and in inner corners of eye. Apply it with “MAC” cake eye liner by using “Sigma” tiny A4 liner brush. Try to make a wing with your tiny brush. If it gets thick and wrong, you can take another liner brush and makeup remover. Dip the brush in makeup remover and shape your thick edge corner. Make it a winged eye liner by giving it a proper shape with makeup remover brush. You can get our eye liner as neat as precise as much you want.
8. Concealer Clean Up
Sometime it happens that you get a perfect winged liner but then you make a mistake and ruin your eye liner. All you need to do is get your concealer by Mac on an angled eye brow brush and clean up your mistake. Make the Wing shape again. Don’t smudge it. Make sure that you properly cleaned up the mistakes. Here you got the well finished perfect eye liner.
9. Free Hand
You can apply free hand eye liner when you don’t have time to use tricks. Use the liner pen or pencil. Apply a curved line at the corner eye akneus. Draw a shape of wing by using gel eye liner with “sigma” tiny brush. Fill in the middle and inner corner of eye as well. Give it a proper winged eye liner shape with free hand. Here you got the perfect winged eye liner. If something happens wrong, you can use the concealer to clean it up.
10. Hooded Eye
You can take black pencil eye liner by “Femina”. Apply it on lash line and eye wall line of the top. Gently hold it on the outer corner of your eye and enjoy a very thin wing. Try not to fill it too much. Chances are your cupid eye lids drop over. So put a little bit of wing.
